Hassan Ali Joho Mombasa ODM

Ali Hassan Joho’s reelection marked his second term in office as the governor for Mombasa. Before, he was the Member of Parliament for Kisauni between 2007 and 2013. Hassan Joho is also the deputy party leader of ODM.

Salim Mvurya Kwale Jubilee

Salim Mvurya is also a two-time governor serving the people of Kwale. Currently, he is the chairman of the Council of Governors of Kenya. Salim also served as the vice chair of the council of governors in 2014.

Amason Jeffah Kingi Kilifi ODM

Amason is serving his second term as the governor of Kilifi. He represented Magarini Constituency as a member of parliament between 2007 and 2013. Before joining active politics, Amason was the Malindi coordinator for the Constitutional Review Commission.

Dhado Godhana Tana River ODM

The 2017/2022 period is Dhado Godhana’s first term in office as governor of Tana River County. He was the MP for Galole constituency between 2007 and 2013 and also served as an assistant minister of Livestock in 2012.

Fahim Yasin Twaha Lamu Jubilee

Fahim Yasin Twaha began his political career in 1997 as the Member of Parliament for Lamu West constituency. He held the position until 2013. Yasin is also a first-timer in office as the Lamu, county Boss.

Mohamed Abdi Kuti Isiolo Independent
